Alphabet Letter Cards is a collection of 5 fun educational cards games.
Basics of Letter Cards
LetterCards are the basic element in these 5 games. Each LetterCard has a letter of the American Alphabet on it. Throughout the games you will see LetterCards in six different font styles, so stay alert.
The Game of “Same Same” or “Same Letters.”
Based on a children’s matching card game called Snap. A fun way for Adults, as well as younger players to learn to recognize matching pairs and four-of-a-kind groups of the 26 letters of the American English Alphabet.
The Game of Concentration (Memory).
Find the matching pairs of letters using memory, spatial relationships, approximations and guessing. A different fun way for Adults, as well as younger players to learn to recognize matching pairs and four-of-a-kind groups of the 26 letters of the American English Alphabet.
The Game of NOSE.
Based on the traditional children’s game of “P-I-G.” As soon as a player has a four-of-a-kind set, s/he taps the “Touch” button. The other players also do this. The last player to do it gets a “N” as a penalty letter, and a new “Round” begins. The next time that same player is last, s/he gets the letter “O.” The third time, it is an “S.” And the fourth time it is “E.” When a player “earns” all four letters = N-O-S-E, a new game starts.
The Game of “I Doubt It.”
This very simple, yet sophisticated, “bluffing” game provides practice in choosing letters of the alphabet, mentally naming them, and, communicating with other players, all require using critical thinking. A fun way to learn the Letters of the Alphabet while improving thinking and decision making.
The Game of “Go Fish.”
Because “Go Fish” is a classic, competitive card game, players that pay close attention to which cards are requested, and that remember who requested each Lettercard, are more likely to succeed or win the game. Moreover, these mental activities are likely to facilitate language learning.
